Maharashtra Government will Construct 5 lakh Affordable Houses in Mumbai

The Maharashtra government may lie up with big construction companies including L&T, Godrej, Shapoorji, Pallonji & Shirke Construction. In the upcoming years, the Maharashtra government will construct about 5 lakh houses in Mumbai. These companies have represented their presentation to construct affordable houses in Mumbai.

The step to construct large number of houses will initiate the dream of India’s Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi, who has started a mission to provide houses for all by 2022. The official of Maharashtra said that we are committed to construct 11 lakh houses in Maharashtra out of which 5 lakh will be constructed in Mumbai.

UPAVP Gulmohar Enclave Mandola Vihar Yojna Flat Scheme 2015

Uttar Pradesh Awas Vikas Parishad invites applications for the allotment of 3680 flats in its new Samajwadi Awas Yojna in Gulmohar Enclave Mandola Vihar Yojna in Ghaziabad. Out of total 2464 flats are 2BHK type and remaining 1216 flat are 1BHK type which are available for registration.

The applications are invited through online mode of registration and registration of flats will be started on 20 July 2015 and last date of registration is 20 August 2015.

1BHK flats are available in the super area of 34.04 square meter while the super area of 2BHK flat is 56.11 square meter. The estimated cost of 1BHK flat is Rs. 11 lakh while 2BHK come is the price of Rs. 18.10 lakh.

Registration can also be done by offline mode of registration by purchasing the application form from the following banks branched mentioned in the brochure.

PUDA New Residential Plot Scheme 2015 in Rajpura Colony, Patiala

Punjab Urban Development Authority invites application for the allotment of residential plots in Rajpura Colony in Patiala. Under the scheme total 172 residential plots are available for registration of general public. Registration of plots can be done by online mode of registration by using the official website of PUDA from 10 July 2015 to 10 August 2015.

Under the scheme, total 172 residential plots are available at the rate of Rs. 26,312/- per square meters or Rs. 22,000/- per square yard. Out of total 172 units, 90 plots are 500 square yard size.

YEIDA to Launch New Residential Plot Scheme 2015 in Sector-22D

Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority has completed its plan to launch a new residential plot scheme in Sector-22D. Total 800 affordable residential plots will be offered in the YEIDA New Scheme 2015. Under the scheme, two size 120 and 162 square meters plots would be on offer and these plots will be available at the cost of Rs. 17.10 lakh for 120 square meter plots and 23 lakh for 162 square meter.
Along with residential plot scheme in Sector-22D, YEIDA will also launch an industrial plot Scheme in sector-29 with 320 units. The size of plot will measure 300, 600, 1,000 and 1,800 square meters. Registration for both YEIDA Residential Plot Scheme & Industrial Plot Scheme will be started in the end of July 2015.

Housing for All by 2022 - An Ambitious Mega Housing Scheme of Indian Government

Housing for all by 2022 or Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojna is an ambitious affordable housings scheme of Indian Government which aims to provide 2 Crore affordable housing units by 2022.
The scheme which was first named after Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel but later renamed to Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojna has been approved by the cabinet and is all set to be launched on 25th June 2015. The mega housing scheme of NDA government aims to provide affordable housing to the homeless especially women including widows, Scheduled Casts (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), Transgender Society and the people belonging to the Economically Weaker Section of the society.

"Housing for All by 2022" scheme is aimed for urban areas with following components/options to States/Union Territories and cities

A) Participation of private residential developers for slum rehabilitation of slum dwellers using land as a resource.
B) Promoting the affordable housing among economically weaker section through credit linked subsidy.
C) Development of affordable housing units in partnership with Public & Private sectors.
D) Subsidy for beneficiary-led individual house construction or enhancement.

Under the slum rehabilitation scheme for slum dwellers, the central government will provide a grant of Rs 1 Lakh for the slum rehabilitation project undertaken for development by the States.

Under the credit linked policy, EWS/LIG home buyers will be provided an interest subsidy of 6.5 percent on home loans availed up to a tenure of 15 years. The government will also provide an assistance of Rs. 1.5 Lakh to the beneficiary led housing construction or enhancement for EWS category.

The homes constructed under the Housing for all scheme will be allotted to the female head of the household or in joint name of the male head of the household and his wife as a mandatory clause.
The housing for all by 2022 scheme will cover the entire urban area consisting of 4041 statutory towns. However, initially, the scheme will be implement in phased manner consisting of three different phases for 500 class 1 cities as follows.
  • Phase-I (April 2015 - March 2017) to cover 100 Cities.
  • Phase - II (April 2017 - March 2019) to cover additional 200 Cities.
  • Phase-III (April 2019 - March 2022) to cover all other remaining Cities.
The cities will be selected by the States/UTs as per their willingness or based on the demand survey assessment for housing units.

The housing for all mission also incorporates a technology sub-mission to focus on aspects such as innovative design, affordability, sustainability, building material quality, green buildings, use of natural resources, earthquake and natural disaster resistant buildings and more.

Under the mission, technical and financial assistance will be provided to the States/UTs for executing the affordable housing projects. However, the States/UTs will have complete flexibility in deciding the formulation, approval and implementation process of affordable housing projects in accordance with the mission guidelines.
